This subseries covers gubernatorial administrations of three Alabama governors. The records of the four administrations have been interfiled, which makes it impossible to separate them. These records are a part of the administrative files and they were never identified as a separate body of material but were absorbed into the administrative files prior to 1971. This subseries consists of files created on cases involving or of interest to the governor. Types of material included are briefs, case exhibits, correspondence, affidavits, pleadings, and other documents used for litigation.
